Sykes & Son Limited have operated an in-house M&E business stream since 2008 and this was born from a desire to ensure a high quality and consistent delivery of building services.

With a combination of technical M&E expertise and the business values developed over centuries, Sykes occupy a unique position within the marketplace.

Our M&E team works both independently and in collaboration with our Building Projects and Maintenance workstreams. This approach allows us to maintain closer control of our works, offer a seamless delivery and not be dependent on external support.

Comprising in-house labour, supervision, management and design capabilities, the team self-delivers a range of upgrades, replacements and installations, applying leading edge, technologically advanced solutions across a broad spectrum of working environments.

The vast majority of our work takes place in critical, sensitive environments and occupied operating spaces. We are experienced working within the specific constraints and logistics necessary for timely, non-disruptive delivery.

Past projects have included the successful delivery of:

  • New build infrastructure and shell and core work
  • Energy centres
  • Data centres, comms rooms and dealer floors
  • Fit-out and refurbishment projects
  • Works within historic and sensitive, grade listed buildings
  • Plant replacements and upgrades including chillers, boilers, generators and UPS’s
