Two Fundraising Challenges Completed

Congratulations to Team Sykes for completing two tough challenges over the weekend.

Starting on Saturday morning in Kendall, a team of eight walkers completed the Ultra Lake District Challenge, hiking 25, 50 or 100km. A special mention to QHSE Manager, Rob Watkins, who managed to complete the grueling 100km route in just over 19 hours!

On Saturday evening, a team of five cyclists from Sykes took part in the Nightrider event, a 100km cycle ride from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, cycling past iconic landmarks including Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge, and completing in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The teams were helping to raise funds for our charity of the year, The Sick Children’s Trust. The charity support parents and families when a child is in hospital by offering them a place to stay near to the hospital, relieving them of the burden of hotel and traveling costs and allowing them to be near to their child during difficult times.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported the participants and our fundraising efforts this year.
